Snowstorm of the year? Decade? Century ?

If you live anywhere within the tri-state area, New York New Jersey or Connecticut you may be aware that there’s a snowstorm of the century coming and it’s going to be a big one.

They are predicting from 1 to 3 feet of snow. Alternate side parking has been suspended for the next two days, schools are getting early dismissal tommorow and possibly closing on Tuesday. Mayor DiBlasio is talking about this as if it’s the end of time. I do not think were going to be getting 3 feet of snow. They have been predicting snow this winter season all season long.  It could snow only a few inches as has been happening all season long He could be right it can happen. The stores would have you believe that the snowstorm will be 3 feet!

I went to three different stores to do my regular shopping all three stores have lines out the door down the block and traffic was horrendous everywhere I went the reasoning the snowstorm of snowstorms is coming in everybody better be prepared. If you’re on Facebook you should see all the warnings that are being posted about the storm however I don’t think it’s gonna be that bad .

Let me put it  this way if it’s going to snow it better snow! if it’s going to snow only a few inches it will give late night entertainment material for weeks.At least let it snow enough that it makes it worth staying home , I’m sure you know the feeling!

Over scheduled much?

Why does everyone insist on scheduling every second of their day to the minute? The reason I ask this is when I do it it doesn’t work out for the best. This past week on Wednesday, I had to see two of my clients back to back in two different area about 20 minutes away from each other. However before I could go to my first client, my day job had a last minute emergency meeting with my boss which delayed me tremendously to my first client.

Now normally I get to L’s place at 6pm however because of this delay I got there 6:30pm. Because of this delay in my schedule it caused me to be even later to my 2nd client. My second client is a 8 year old child however when I called the mother to let her know she was very upset justifiably I told her I would there a at a certain time and her daughter was looking forward to seeing me that night. It gets even better once I finished with L. I called Z. to let her know  was on my way and would be there in 20 minutes. Well you know the expression “man plans G-d laughs”

He had a great laugh that night bot one but two buses did not stop for me. I had to call for a car service after waitn g 20 minutes and asked them to hurry. They tell me 5-10 minutes. They meant or should have told me more like 20 minutes to be accurate. Long story short I got to my client about 40 minutes late and had to apologize which I did not mind since Why does everyone insist on scheduling every second of their day to the minute? The reason I ask this is when I do it it doesn’t work out for the best

Balancing life

Having a great support system around you can be a great thing. When life gets hectic and there’s a million things going around, you need to be able to balance life. Recently I saw this play out in my personal life. I work full time and am furthering my education in the evenings.

My school schedule changed drastically from a two nights for fours hours a night, to a twenty-six hour week. In order to stay in the program I need to keep those hours. That means balancing family and home life with all the usual mundane day to day. Before the semester began I was nervous how would everything balance out? Now I’m seeing there’s a reason everyone has a support system and that’s to balance life!

Friend of a business owner’s opinion matter

Since when does a friend of a business owner’s opinion matter? A friend just called me to tell me what happened at her job today. A well known friend of the business she works at stopped by to take care of something for the company she works at, (Let’s call my friend Sara and the family friend of the business lets call him Mike.) Sara was sitting at her desk doing her work when Mike came in and he starts telling her everything the office is doing wrong. From how they answer the phone to how they handle customer service. Well Sara has worked there for years and she’s taken a lot of … from extremely rude clients, Sara  listened to what he had to say and kept quiet out of respect. Sara couldn’t believe it, when he caused a family member to start crying by the warnings, he was giving to the business owners daughter, saying that her parents will punish her if she does this, doesn’t do that. My questions is how much does this mans opinions matter? He has influenced the company in the past by getting employees in trouble for no reason.
